Aurora Borealis over Mount Hood

Experience the breathtaking Aurora Borealis dancing over Mount Hood, a rare spectacle captured at 3 am. The Northern Lights are very difficult to see, and often missed due to it being difficult to accurately predict in the lower 48. This shot was taken at 3 am after a 2 mile hike in the snow down to Trillium Lake. It was cold, but beautiful.
